Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the single point of contact for issues related to physical security; develop, recommend and manage the District's Enterprise Physical Security Strategy; and oversee and coordinate complex security projects and programs to mitigate security risks to District personnel, equipment, facilities, critical infrastructure including substations, systems and information as relates to Electric Utility infrastructure.
Experience, Working Conditions and Other Requirements Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Security or Risk Management, Military Science, Criminal Justice, or related field.
A BA/BS is preferred; however, substitution is allowed for those with five (5) years of law enforcement, military, or similar experience.
Seven (7) years progressive experience in a security, military police, law enforcement or related experience with experience in managing vendor and contractor relationships.
Must have or able to obtain within 12 months of hire, ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications.
Desirable
Qualifications:
Physical Security Professional, Professional Certified Investigator or Certified Protection Professional certification preferred.
Public sector experience preferred.
NERC and CIP standards experience preferred.
Work Environment:
The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work is typically performed in the office Monday through Thursday 6:
30 am to 5:
00 pm.
Remote work is not available for this position.
Some duties may need to be performed in multiple types of weather conditions and outside areas.
Occasionally subject to irregular hours and call-outs.
Must adhere to the District's residency requirement.
