North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC), produces printing paper grades for publishers in the United States, Japan and around the world. NORPAC is a joint venture between Weyerhaeuser and Nippon Paper Industries of Japan. Located at Weyerhaeuser's manufacturing complex in Longview, WA, this facility can manufacture more than 750,000 metric tons of paper annually

NORPAC is seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Manager. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. This person will be responsible to manage a group of P&C Team Leaders and Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Maintenance Manager to set and accomplish department goals in safety, reliability, cost and organizational effectiveness
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance for power and control systems
Adherence to accepted best practices in design, installation, planning and scheduling work and management of change.
Responsible for key portions of electrical basic care plan
Develops and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with Operations, Engineering and Weyerhaeuser contacts while executing responsibilities.
Coordinate outside resources (i.e.: contract electricians, system integrators and drive specialists) to ensure effective mill-wide use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Key requirements:

Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years supervision experience
Industrial power distribution design and maintenance
Integrated drive system design and maintenance
Variable speed AC and DC drive design, application and maintenance
PLC application and Maintenance

Desired Experience:

Paper Machine CD and MD property measurement and control
Energy conservation experience
Thermo Mechanical Pulping experience
Virtual machine environment experience
Process control experience a plus
