Weyerhaeuser Company has a Frontline Supervisor opening at the Export Facility in Longview, WA. Come join our Marketing team, which manages the largest log export facility in North America. Responsibilities encompass: safety management, financial results (including costs and revenues), sort yard and dock logistics, managing union employees, production quality, log accountability and inventory management. Preferred experience includes: log scaling, marketing, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial safety.
This is a salaried exempt position, reporting to the Export Yard Team Leader. Must be willing/able to work necessary hours, be flexible and effectively work with the export yard's leadership team to get the needs to the business accomplished. Involves weekend duties/on-call responsibilities in a rotation with peers. Salary range varies based on qualifications and experience.
Key Functions:
Modeling safety behaviors as a leader in accident prevention, near miss reporting, safety trainings, audits, hold safety meetings, inspections, involved in safety committee, and participate in Weyerhaeuser's Health & Safety Program.
Develop your team to achieve operational excellence (safety, reliability, cost, quality) and satisfy customer requirements and expectations.
Manage hourly employees within the framework of the labor agreement to accomplish goals.
Planning and coordinating the daily activities of the crew .
Provide team and individual feedback, coaching and discipline.
Perform administrative duties utilizing software including Outlook, Word, Excel, databases, payroll systems, and other computer programs.
Facilitate resolution of team issues that may arise.

Requirements
Two years supervisor experience preferred.
Knowledge of Industrial safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Computer knowledge and skills to learn Weyerhaeuser programs.
Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple activities and priorities.
High degree of initiative, motivation and innovation.
Exceptional communication skills: written, oral, and listening.
Forestry, marketing, business, maintenance degree preferred.
Strong safety record required.
Excellent team work required, as responsibilities within the sort yard overlap with team members.
